The Clear Creek Independent School District offers Adult ESL Classes on these days at these locations:

Monday and Wednesday

8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
• McWhirter Elementary
• League City Elementary

5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
• McWhirter Elementary 
• Stewart Elementary

 

Locations throughout Galveston County offer free high school equivalency classes (formerly called GED classes) and English as a Second Language classes. Classes are free to Galveston County residents through a grant. Learn more at www.com.edu/adulted or call 409-933-8294.

The Freeman Library offers literacy programs for youth and adults and their English Language Acquisition (ESL) program for adults help individuals with the basic reading and writing and/or spoken English skills they need to reach work, family and personal goals. 

 

The Friendswood Public Library offers Conversation classes for adults of all English skill levels on select Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Please see their website for more information.

The United Way offers English Conversation classes throughout the year.  There are classes on 4 days during the regular calendar year and classes only on Thursdays from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. during the summer.  Please call 713-685-2300 for more information.
