To use Overdrive on your computer:

  1. Go to leaguecitylibrary.org

  2. Click on the “E-Library” tab at the top of the page

  3. Click on the “Overdrive” tab

    1. For an overview on how Overdrive works, click on the “Getting started with Overdrive” link under the “Overdrive” tab.

  4. Click “sign in” in the top right corner of the web page

  5. Select “Helen Hall Library” from the drop down menu

  6. Type in your library card number without the spaces (begins with 23046…) and click “sign in

To checkout an item:

  1. Search for the item you want in the search bar

  2. If the book is available, click the word “Borrow” underneath the title

    1. This will add the title to your “Loans” page (in overdrive, your loans page contains all of the items you have checked out)

  3. If an item is unavailable, then click “Place a hold” underneath the item, and you will be added to the wait list.

    1. It may ask for an email the first time you place a hold, this is the email address that they will use to notify you when your hold becomes available

    2. If you have exceeded you hold limit (10), then you can put the item on your wish list, by clicking “Add to Wish List”. These items will be stored, so that way you can quickly find them and place yourself on hold for them when you aren’t over your limit of 10 items anymore

  4. Once you have checked out an item, you can read them on your “Loans” page

    1. To get to your “Loans” page, click on “My Account” in the top right corner, then click on “Loans
