In Libby, you get the option to renew materials only within the last three days that you have them checked out. To renew a title:

  1. Go to your “Loans” page

  2. Select “Request Again” underneath the title you want to renew

If the title you want to renew is on a holds list, you won’t be able to renew it. If you want to continue reading the book, you’ll have to put yourself back on hold for the title and wait for it to become available again.

I received an email stating that my hold was available, what do I do now?

When a hold becomes available, Libby will send out an email to notify you. Depending on your settings, the available title will either be automatically checked out to you or will need to be manuallly checked out. If the title automatically checked out to you, it will be located on your bookshelf. If you still need to manually check out your title, you can find your available hold on your 'Holds' page. Click 'Borrow' underneath the title, and it will be checked out to you.
